Taken from an old Prodigy note dated 7/23/95, 'Ambrose was in Wash.co,TN
where he had multiple land dealings with the bartons. He and Joshua
Barton were two of the signers of the Annexation Petition for Wash.Co. to
become part of NC in 1776. Author of note found Ambrose in Franklin Co,
VA where Joshua had land right next to him on the Pigg River. Around 1835
many Hodges and Bartons moved to Texas. he found graves near Dallas.
